NEWS FLASH!!! (Dec. 8th
2005)
There is a Class Action Lawsuit against Toshiba
for Toshiba
Satellite Pro 6100 Series laptop owners
http://www.lieffcabraser.com/laptop-complaints.htm
DO
NOT LET THIS LAW FIRM ATTEMPT TO SETTLE BY NEGOTIATING FOR SATELITE 6100 PRO
OWNERS TO GET SOME SORT OF COUPON TOWARD ANOTHER SHITTY TOSHIBA PRODUCT WHILE
THEY ARE PAID CASH.
WE WANT CASH BACK TO SPEND WITH SOME OTHER
COMPANY.
Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc.
I also filed a Better Business
Bureau report in mid Dec 2005 at http://www.bbb.org/but have not yet heard
back
I am working on this site, I am committed to spending double the
time that
Toshiba wasted for me with this computer problem.
I estimate they wasted
about 100 hours of my time (and counting) so I will spend
200 hours updating
and promoting this website. Plust I had to buy a new
computer because I could
not wait any longer for the repair.
toshiba service sucks.
I cannot say enough bad things about Toshiba service.
They basically do
everything wrong multiple times.
I had to go and buy a new computer (IBM
ThinkPad T43).
I would take Toshiba to small claims court but I am in NJ and
they
are in CA. If you are in CA here is form to take them to small
claims

If you have a Toshiba in need of repair, I would take it to a local repair
shop.
You can check here for rating on Toshiba authorized repair
centers.
http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_gaspLocator.jsp
Even
a 0 star center is better than Toshiba Depot.
Before you send in to Toshiba repair (if you must) you probably want
to
delete all personal information. Toshiba probablypays
minimum wage to their
repair people judging by the work they do they
cannot be highly trained) so
it must be hard for these folks to resist stealing your info
and using it or
reselling it.
Save (and check that the save worked) all files that contain personal
information
like tax returns, bank account or financial spread sheets.
Here is how to delete all the passwords you have stored on your computer.
they returned my computer to me with 23 viruses on it!
(I had run virus
scan with updated virus prior to sending it in because
there was a very off
chance problem could have been caused by virus.
As soon as I got my computer
back I run scan and of course I have
firewall (zonealarm). So Toshiba must
have connected it to internet
to get updated drivers/bios for my computer and
had disabled the
norton and firewall.)
Dec21st 2005 I have to send back computer to Toshiba repair for a third time.

use the form at http://GreenPeople.org/emailsteve.cfm to contact me, especially if you
would like to install a bulletin board or help pay for third party one so we can get a good site going.
Also maybe get people to write letters to PC Mag and other mags to tell them not to just evaluate the
product but to check out how well the company fulfills its obligation for warranty.
